Center axle housing
 

The center section is a reconditioned iron unit that has been inspected, the housing is sanded and then powdercoated black.
 

 
The axle housing is fully assembled with a 3.55 gearset and a 28-tooth Eaton Truetrac differential.

The Truetrac differential is a helical gear differential.  The helical gear design eliminates the need for wearable parts, resulting in maintenance free traction.

The axle housing is a reconditioned unit that has been inspected, the axle tubes are welded to the center housing the whole axle is sanded and then powdercoated black.

The axle housing is fully assembled with a 3.55gearset and a 28-tooth Eaton Truetrac differential.

The Truetrac differential is a helical gear differential.  The helical gear design eliminates the need for wearable parts, resulting in maintenance free traction.
 

 
The rear cover is an aluminum Girdle style cover that is designed to improve ring and pinion gear life by pre-loading the bearing caps while also adding additional strength to the rear end housing.

Axle assembly uses vehicle’s 28-tooth axle shafts and brakes

1986-95 Mustang 5.0L vehicles were factory-equipped with 28-tooth 8.8" axle assembly.
