Power TV Visits the Factory Five Booth at SEMA 2012

At the 2012 SEMA Show, the crew from Power TV stopped by the Factory Five booth to film a few short video interviews with the Factory Five team. Here is the first of three videos that are being put together. In it, host Jessica Barton interviews Factory Five President Dave Smith and Director of R&D Jim Schenck about the process of designing a kit at Factory Five.

In this interview, FFR President Dave Smith discusses the MuscleCar TV ’33 Hot Rod painted by JoAnn Bortles of crazyhorsepainting.com and the Summit Racing Mk4 Roadster built by Rick Sheley and the crew at SKJ Customs.

Here’s an awesome video from this year’s SEMA Show interviewing customer Bob Bailin, Karen Salvaggio, and Peter Skoglund about their Factory Five builds. Very cool!

It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror. Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.
