Factory Five Outshines Them All at Cobra Experience Car Show

Factory Five customer Chris B. shared this fun news report with us about his Type 65 Coupe. Chris attended the Cobra Experience Car Show in Martinez, CA on June 4th. His car won “Best in Class” against some beautiful replicas.

“I was in a class called “All Other Cobras” which basically was anything that was not original…fyi, there were 12+ original Cobra Roadsters. My class had about 25+ cars (kit cars and 8-10 Superformance Roadsters and one Coupe…guess who won the class?” – Chris B.

Chris’ Coupe was delivered in 2009 and was completed in 2012. It features 408 ci. 351W with Roush heads, 4 Weber 48 IDA downdraft carbs, Ford T5 transmission, Ford IRS 8.8″ with Detroit locker, ’93 Mustang disc brakes, Factory Five vintage 15″ Halibrand wheels with Mickey Thompson R/T tires. The car was painted Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White stripes.


The following week, Chris scored another 1st place (right) at the San Jose Mustang Club (VMOA) Show on Saturday, June 17!

Peter D. Graduates Mk5 Build for Son Scott’s Wedding

Factory Five customer Peter D. from Pfafftown, NC and his son Scott started to put thier Mk5 Roadster plans together early in Fall 2025. The submitted their order in mid-October 2025 with the kit arriving in mid-December.
