Herb W.’s Mk3 Roadster is Ready for its Winter Projects
Customer Herb W. from Melfort, Saskatchewan dreamed of owning a Roadster since he was a kid. When the time was right, Herb found a Factory Five Mk3.1 Roadster for sale that was “done”, but he saw the potential for ways he could make it his own.
Since purchasing the Factory Five Roadster, Herb has installed a 347 with T5 transmission, redone the interior, dash, seats, gauges, wiring, upgraded to an electric e-brake, engine tuning, installed a lexan windshield, put on some Goodyear billboards tires. He already has some tasks for this winter including installing new Wilwood disc brtakes, changing the rear gears, and installing cruise control, new headers, and Speedhut gauges.
“It is very much a fun driver, not a show car,” Herb wrote to us. “When people tell me they like it, that just adds to the pleasure. It is usually just like these photos…. covered in bugs, a few stone chips, and sometimes some mud!”
