Customer Ron V. Graduates Type 65 Coupe Build!

This past April, we shared a build update from customer Ron V. from Virginia on his Factory Five Type 65 Coupe build. Ron has recently graduated his build, and the car is street legal with a proper VA title & tags. “It is a fantastic drive!!!” wrote Ron. “The team was great and we made real memories and friendships during the 14 month build.”

Ron build his Coupe with a carbureted, aluminum head, BluePrint Engines 347, a TKO 600 transmission, and a Moser 8.8, 3.55, 3-link rear axle. Wheels are FFR Halibrand replicas 17 x 9 / 10.5. Tires are Nitto 555 G2 – 275/40 ZR17 and 315/35 ZR17. “To date, there are 250 miles on her, and all systems are working great,” said Ron. “We plan to remove the body over winter and paint.”

From Track to Street: Ben F.’s Factory Five Challenge Car

For five years, Factory Five customer Ed Boothman and his team competed in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in a modified Challenge Car. After the 2012 event, the car was retired, and eventually sold by Ed. Jesse L. Scores Autocross Top Time of Day in Mk4!
