2024 London Cobra Show Report

The annual London Cobra Show is always a highlight of the year reuniting us with the midwest Factory Five community. Over 150 cars attended this year’s LCS car show on Saturday, June 22nd, and Factory Five was well represented with customers coming from all over the country including Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, Alabama, and Florida.

Factory Five’s display featured out famous Mk4 Roadster “Half Mobile” cut-away car, and several customers had their FFR builds parked in our booth as well. Steve J. from Fletcher, OH brought his Mk4 Roadster from Fletcher, OH and was parked right next to our “Half Mobile.” Steve built his Roadster with a 427W, TKO600, IRS, power steering, power brakes, and 17″ Halibrand wheels.

Scott P. from upstate New York drove his Type 65 Coupe to LCS, and Eugene C. and Scott D. from Ohio attended the show with their Mk4 Roadsters.

Scott P.’s Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe was built with a 500 HP Boss 427 bore and stroke to 460 from Forte’s Parts Connection, IRS, and 18″ Halibrand Wheels.

Eugene C. from Dublin, OH built his Mk4 Roadster with a 289, T5 transmission, solid axle rear end with 3-link rear suspension, and 17″ Halibrand wheels.

Scott D. and his son Erik from Maumee, OH brought their Mk4 Roadster to the show. They built their Mk4 with a 351W, solid axle rear end with 3-link rear suspension, and 17″ Halibrand wheels.

The event is officially started with the parade of Cobras and Coupes driving in and taking over three blocks in London, OH.

It didn’t take long for the Factory Five booth to be filled with show attendees to check out the cars on display. The Mk4 “Half Mobile” always gets a lot of looks.

Factory Five team members Dave V. and Travis M. (right) were on hand to talk with everyone at the show, and got help from the FFR community including Henry R., Ron E., and Erik T. (left to right).

Erik T. brought something a little different to LCS this year. He drove his XTF Extreme Truck that debuted at SEMA 2023 to the event and even towed his Type 65 Coupe with the XTF as well. Even though LCS features Cobras and Coupes, Erik’s truck got quite a bit of attention throughout the day.

There were a lot of Factory Five customers who drove their Roadsters and Coupes to the event, and participated in the parade to start the day. Mike C. from Florida brought his 5.0L Coyote-powered Mk4 to LCS.

Customer Vijay K. and his son Remy attended LCS with their Mk4 Roadster. The father-son build features a 6.2L LS3 engine, TKX transmission, solid-axle rear end with 3-link rear suspension, and Bullitt wheels. Remy had the most fun putting the shocks together and making the dash.

Several Factory Five customers spent the day giving charity rides!

The event ended with the the presentation of this year’s Mk4 Roadster charity car built by the Hot Rod Brothers as well as a sneak peak of next year’s car, a Mk4 Roadster built by Henry Renaud.

Luke and Jordan from Hot Rod Brothers.

Henry Renaud presented another donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation before sharing his build of next year’s LCS raffle car.

The night ended with the Pam, Dave, and members of the Ohio Cobra Club presenting a donation of $270,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!

Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and bought tickets to help make this year’s London Cobra Show such a huge success. Thank you to the Ohio Cobra Club for putting on such an amazing show. We’re looking forward to next year’s event which will be part of Factory Five 30th Anniversary celebration.
