The 100th Picture of the Month Winner!

Rocco D. (@RJD on The Factory Five Forum) takes home the honor of the 100th Picture of the Month with his Factory Five MkIV Roadster #F5R1089RD!

On his forum profile, Rocco shares: “I’ve admired the Cobra for years. I’d rebuilt a sailboat and a trailer, worked as an aircraft mechanic, and spent time in a machine shop, but the Factory Five MKIV was my first major automotive build.”

He ordered the MKIV Complete Kit with powder coating and cut-outs, which was delivered in October 2017. The car had its first start the following year and by October 2020 was street legal. Under the hood, it runs a Blueprint 306 with Holley Sniper EFI and a TKO 600, with upgrades including power steering, Breeze fan shroud, trunk cubby, CNC brake reservoirs, RT turn signal and gas pedal, METCO safety loop, side pipes, drop trunk, dual chrome roll bars, vintage gauges, glove box, custom center console, cup holders, and speakers.

When it comes to his winning photo, Rocco recounts: “It was an early morning in June 2023 when I arrived at the rendezvous location for a cruise with some other Cobra owners. I was the first to arrive, so got out of the car and sat down on the curb in the shade to wait for the others. Glancing at the car I thought to myself, ‘That would make a good picture,’ so on a whim I pulled out my iPhone and took the shot – no special effects added.”

Sometimes the best photos, like the best builds, happen with less planning.

Factory Five is Closed Today, Monday January 26, 2026.

I made the call to scrub FFR operations for the day. The drive in wasn’t bad, and most roads are clear. Unfortunately our plow crew was late, and the day dawned with 3-4′ drifts in the back parking lot! We will be at work and at full strength tomorrow. Sorry for any difficulties this may cause. Three Generations Embark on a Type 65 Coupe Dream Build

Dave Ryan’s Type 65 Coupe build is moving right along—and it’s become something even bigger along the way. In collaboration with Factory Five Racing, V6 Media is producing a short film documenting the build process. Recently, Dave’s father, Vaun Ryan, sat down to share his lifelong passion for performance cars and motorcycles—sparked as a young boy on the family farm in Utah, building a homemade go-kart powered by a hay-elevator motor. That curiosity for how things work turned into a lifetime of mechanical enthusiasm, passed down through generations and now culminating in Dave’s Type 65 Coupe build, which is a…
