Mike & Rocky R.’S Coupe Strikes Detroit Autorama Gold
Factory Five customers Mike and Rocky R. from Clinton Township, MI earned 1st Place in the Handbuilt Sports Class at the 2026 Detroit Autorama! They started their complete kit Coupe build about a year ago installing a 535 HP 363 SBF with a TKX transmission, Sniper 4150 EFI, Moser 8.8″ solid axle with 3.55 gears, 3-link rear rear suspension, Wilwood brakes, power steering, A/C, leather steering wheel, and American Racing wheels. They also installed several custom features like door pockets with cell phone chargers, a single LED for low lumination while driving at night, and a rear view camera.
“Super pleased with the way the car came out,” wrote Rocky on Facebook. “Three weeks ago, it was still in primer. My brother performed the body and paint on the car, and did an incredible job! We had so many compliments on the colors we used. Blu Avio with Wimbledon White gives it an elegant look. Exactly what we were shooting for: elegant yet barbaric.”
Mike and Rocky still have a few more things to do before they consider their Coupe ready for the road, and they are very anxious to start driving it. They plan on bringing it to Ohio in June for the London Cobra Show.
