2016 Barrett-Jackson Northeast Report

This year was the very first year for the Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction.  The event was held at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.  What was forecast to be a well attended event turned out to be a MASSIVE event.  Ticket sales were sold out by 10 am on the first day and an estimated 90,000 people made it through the gates during the three-day event!

The Factory Five team brought along three premium rides for this inaugural event.  The Factory Five-Hot Rod Magazine ’33 was joined by our flagship GTM and our brand-new Mk4 Roadster.

The Factory Five booth was directly along the entrance for every single auction car.  So not only did we get a chance to visit with customers, we also got to check out every single auction car before they crossed the block.

This Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod was built by the crew at Tasca Ford and featured a supercharged 5.0L Cosold for $72,000.

Charles M. is Show Favorite with ’33 Hot Rod

Charles M. from Lakeland, FL purchased a built Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod in February 2026. This Hot Rod was built by a company in California that builds cars for movies and TV shows. It was sold at auction with the proceeds being donated to a charity. The auction winner then sold the car to Charles with 594 miles on it. Charles brought the Hot Rod to the 21st Annual Bay Life Car Show the other week which saw 675 cars attend. Dark Horse Racing Earns Podium at Historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Congratulations to Brion G. and Dark Horse Racing on earning a 2nd place finish with their Factory Five Type 65 Coupe-R in the GT class in the Trans Am Championship this past weekend.
