818R Wins Best Domestic Award from Gran Turismo

gt-awards-logo-300x300The new Factory Five 818R has won Sony’s 2013 Gran Turismo Award for “Best Domestic Automobile”!  The award was presented during The GT Awards reception Wednesday night at Haze Night Club in the Aria Hotel & Casino.  Each year at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Gran Turismo Awards are held to honor some of the best custom vehicles on display – one of which gets immortalized in a Gran Turismo game.  The 818R was a finalist, but didn’t make the game just yet…

This is the third time a Factory Five has won this award, with a GTM and ’33 Hot Rod as the other two to receive it.  We’re thrilled to see the 818 continue to be well received by both our customers and the media.

The Bostrom’s Mk4 Shines at First Car Show!

“This is a lifetime dream come true for me!” John exclaims as he shares the news of graduating Mk4 Roadster build and attending his first car show with the completed car earlier this month. Congratulations to Jim. and Cecily T. from Heathsville, VA on graduating their Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build! They received their kit in April 2024. “I was in no rush since I planned on enjoying the build just as much as cruising in it.,” said Jim. “Goes back to my old drag racing days in the 70’s.
