FFR Customer Kris C.'s ‘33 Wins “Best Ford in a Ford” at NSRA

Huge honors for Factory Five customer Kris Colvin and his stunning orange ’33 Hot Rod built by The Auto Shoppe of South Burlington, VT as his car was selected by “Street Rodder Magazine” as the “Best Ford in a Ford” at the NSRA Northeast Street Rod Nationals held last weekend, September 19-21.

Street Rodder Magazine’s Chuck Vranas selected Kris’ car among a large field of contenders.  Street Rodder will feature Kris’ car an upcoming issue!

Street Rodder Magazine’s Chruck Vranas interviews owner Kris Colvin about his build which includes a glassed-in hard top coupe design and a well-built Coyote 5.oL mill.  The orange metallic paint was blinding in the sun, and was set-off by flat black trim pieces and some truly impressive hand stitched coach work inside.

While Kris was winning at the NSRA show in Vermont, other Factory Fives were winning across the country.  Factory Five Bob C. racked up another win earning a “Best of Show” award with the car he built with his son.  Bob’s car was profiled on our website (click here to read the story).

Bob C. won the “Best of Show” award at the Double Eagle Golf cruise night in New Hope, PA.  They have shown the car twice since they finished the build and have received trophies both times!

While Bob and Kris were bringing home the gold on the customer front, the Factory Five tech crew attended the 2014 Otis Air Force Base, Joint Base Cape Cod Car Show. Joe drove the yellow LS7-powered GTM down from the factory and won the “Commander’s Choice 1st Place” Award!

Meanwhile on the other side of the country, Richard and Yvonne Migliori brought their Factory Five GTM  and were accompanied by two Factory Five Roadsters to their local show in near Fresno, CA and each Factory Five earned a People’s Choice Award!

That’s a lot of brass for one weekend!
