Chris Gaudet from Louisiana Makes the Trek to Wareham

There is an autocross tomorrow at Fort Devens so I figured I would take the Mk4 out on a shake down to make sure it’s ready. We have a new master cylinder on the car, so I decided to do some brake testing.

At the same time, I spotted Jason in the warehouse giving a tour to customer Chris Gaudet who was here visiting from Louisiana and thinking about building a Mk4 with his son Jack. So Chris joined me on the brake test drive and he was kind enough to take a quick picture afterwards proving that I don’t crash every time I drive.

Seriously, it was a pleasure meeting Chris and hopefully the guys at the build school will accommodate you and Jack at the next class.

Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.

Factory Fives Take 1st & 2nd at Chicago World of Wheels!

Factory Five customers Jason H. and Pat S. were awarded 1st and 2nd Place at the World of Wheels Chicago event this year! Jason shared the news on the Cobra Owners of Illinois (COIL) Facebook group page saying, “Great day for the club!” Jason was also presented another award in addition to earning 1st Place with his Mk4 Roadster. “So something crazy happened last night.
