Chris W. Graduates his Hot Rod Truck!

After four years of work, Chris W.’s ’35 Hot Rod Truck is finished and ready for a ‘Cruise for Cancer’ Cars & Coffee event in Sarasota, Florida!

Painted by his son-in-law, Ben H., his ’35 Hot Rod Truck wears a custom sky blue metallic from Advanced Auto Paint in Bradenton, using Dynacoat Basecoat (code: Bluegreen). The trim uses a separate mix of blues, violets, and metallics for added depth.

The poplar wood bed is finished in high-gloss epoxy with recessed aluminum strips and blind bolts, topped with a custom canvas cover by Linda from Gulf Coast Canvas.

Chris built the center console himself, with upholstery by Headliners Plus, and glass install by Norman at Gulf Coast Auto Glass. He also trimmed and fitted the carbon fiber fenders, and modified the rear fenders for a perfect custom fit!

Under the hood, it’s powered by a BP-347 stroker with a Holley Sniper EFI. Chris’s truck blends classic style with unique custom touches and modern performance. Congratulations on completing your build, Chris –we can’t wait to hear about its car show debut!
