Cool Factory Five Cars in Hot August!

Customers take center stage this month as we have tons of cool news and amazing customer accomplishments to share!

The heart and soul of Factory Five has always been our cars, but encompasses so much more. The cars we build end up building amazing stories that become as important as the cars themselves! Don’t believe me? Build a Factory Five or ask someone who already has!

This month has brought a treasure trove of stories and accomplishments. It also brought along some amazing cars. Here are a few.

Factory Five customer John George recently earned back-to-back race wins at a NASA event at Palmer Motorsports Park. John isn’t the only one cleaning house on the track!

Factory Five customer Trevor P. has been competing in the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge for some years now with his track-ready Factory Five. This year Trevor lapped Virginia International Raceway’s 3.27 mile full course in 2:01.572 earning him a 13th place overall finish against cars costing 5x as much! Impressive result considering the competition in this year’s challenge. Check out the full article in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine’s October issue. Trevor dropped nearly three seconds off last years’ time and hopes to get into the sub 2:00 club next year. Huge congrats Trevor on behalf of everyone at Factory Five!

GTM Earns Cover of UK Complete Kit Car Magazine

Factory Five Cars are earning proper street cred over the pond in Great Britain, and cars like this stunning white Factory Five GTM are part of the reason.

A Factory Five GTM made the cover of the August 2016 issue of Complete Kit Car Magazine! The build is profiled in the magazine which you can order on their website here.

Editor Ian Stent and his talented British team do a very nice job with this magazine. They have previously written about the Factory Five Roadsters and Coupes, and this GTM is, according to the magazine, the first one on UK roads.

Note: Many Factory Five models are now available in right hand drive from the factory. Those models include our best-selling Mk4 Roadster, ’33 Hot Rod, Type 65 Coupe, and 818S, R, and C.

Many thanks to Aussie Chris Canning for pushing us towards right hand drives!

Customer Charlie D. started his Coupe build in Spring 2018, and by the end of the year, he had his first start and was soon go-carting around the neighborhood. But he kept his Coupe dream alive, and once the other projects were finished, he got back to work on his Factory Five. Over the next year, they focused on her treatments, and thankfully, she beat cancer in mid-2025 and has a clean… Read More »
