Dr. Karen Salvaggio Announced as 2013 HPDE Director

We’re excited to report that Factory Five’s favorite daughter, Karen Salvaggio, has been announced by NASA to become the director of their Northwest Region High Performance Driving Experience.

If you follow the Factory Five community, you’ve likely heard of or been fortunate to meet Dr. Karen Salvaggio. Karen has raced for 10 years with NASA and has competed with her Factory Five Type 65 Coupe and Factory Five Challenge Racer in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. Karen has attended the SEMA Show and was awarded the Factory Five Legacy Award.

Karen’s racing resume is quite impressive, driving everything from vintage C-production Corvettes to drag racing. Karen was 2009 NASA Instructor Driver of the Year and now she is putting considerable teaching and racing experience to work for NASA in HPDE.

Factory Fives Take 1st & 2nd at Chicago World of Wheels!

Factory Five customers Jason H. and Pat S. were awarded 1st and 2nd Place at the World of Wheels Chicago event this year!
