Austin Hatcher’s Factory Five Charity Car Sells for $137,500!

Factory Five is proud to support some very important charities throughout the year. Our work on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and our work supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is now joined by supporting the Austin Hatcher Foundation.

Last year, two Factory Five cars built by the foundation debuted at the SEMA Show 2021. The Mk4 Roadster was sold last year at Mecum Auctions for $110,000. Now the Type 65 Coupe, (seen in these photos) sold on Bring a Trailer for $137,500 with all proceeds going to benefit young cancer victims at Austin Hatcher Foundation! The Austin Hatcher Foundation’s Industrial Arts STEAM Education Therapy helps children with cancer and their families recover from the effects of the disease and its treatments. The builds are overseen and nut & bolted by automotive professionals, and some parts of the build were completed by partner automotive professionals in their shop.

This Factory Five Type 65 Coupe is finished with a Bristol Grey exterior, and full custom Navy Blue leather interior. This car features a Ford Performance 347 cubic inch Street Cruiser Crate Engine – Carbureted, Tremec TKX 5-Speed Transmission, Moser Differential, and custom Detroit Steel Wheels. 

*Factory Five Racing added $1,500 in options and parts credits to the winning bidder in another way to support this important fundraising auction.

Charles M. is Show Favorite with ’33 Hot Rod

Charles M. from Lakeland, FL purchased a built Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod in February 2026. This Hot Rod was built by a company in California that builds cars for movies and TV shows. It was sold at auction with the proceeds being donated to a charity. The auction winner then sold the car to Charles with 594 miles on it. Charles brought the Hot Rod to the 21st Annual Bay Life Car Show the other week which saw 675 cars attend.
