Factory Five-Austin Hatcher Charity Car Auctions for $105,000! on Bring a Trailer

Factory Five Racing is proud to be a part of another year of heartwarming history working with Austin Hatcher Foundation! This Factory Five Mk4 Roadster, built by young cancer patients and their families under professional supervision in AHF’s STEM program, went up for auction on Bring a Trailer ending Friday, Jan. 19 at 3:27PM EST. Check out this year’s beautiful Mk4 Roadster results on Bring a Trailer.

Three Factory Five cars built by the foundation have debuted at the SEMA Show. The program’s first Mk4 Roadster sold last year at Mecum Auctions for $110,000, and last year’s Type 65 Coupe sold on Bring a Trailer for $137,500. Payment from the winning bidder will be made directly to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, a 501(c)(3) organization and SEMA Cares partner. The Austin Hatcher Foundation’s Industrial Arts STEAM Education Therapy helps children with cancer and their families recover from the effects of the disease and its treatments. The builds are overseen and nut & bolted by automotive professionals, and some parts of the build were completed by partner automotive professionals in their shop.

Crafted with love, this unique Factory Five Mk4 Roadster is powered by a BluePrint Engines-built 347ci V8 with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and Moser Engineering 8.8″ rear axle. Finished in “No Strings White” over Can-Can Red leather upholstery, it features staggered 15″ Halibrand-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Koni adjustable coilovers, rack-and-pinion power steering, dual roll hoops, a rear luggage rack, Simpson four-point harnesses, and a heater. Additional enhancements include Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, a polished serpentine belt kit, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan.

All proceeds went to AHF for pediatric cancer care. Details: hatcherfoundation.org/23build
