Factory Five Customer Andrew W. Graduates FFR5228!

Over on The Factory Five Forum, customer Andrew W., aka C6ZZ, has posted his graduation thread for FFR5228! Andrew picked up one of the last Mk2 Roadsters back in 2004 as the Mk3 was being released.

Some of the specs of Andrews build include a Ford 342ci crate motor, SDS fuel injection, T5 transmission, 13″ Baer brakes all around, coil overs, 4-link rear suspension, and an 8.8″ rear end with Detroit Tru Trac 3:55 gears. After running it on the dyno, it recorded 424 hp and 396 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel. Andrew said, “All I know is that I have scared the hell out of myself twice!”

Since completing his build, Andrew has been driving his Mk2 all over the place. “From the beginning of June this year, I have put the better part of 9,000 miles on it,” wrote Andrew. “The first road trip was from Calgary to California and back. The next from Calgary to Chicago, Route 66 to Santa Monica and then eventually home. I got to check off a bucket list item there!”

Andrew’s wife Tracy has been keeping everyone updated on their adventures with a Track-My-Tour blog. You can check it out by clicking here. You can also read Andrew’s full graduation post on the Factory Five Forum.

Congratulations, Andrew! Look forward to hearing about the next 9,000 miles.
