Factory Five Customer Paul B. Awarded 2nd Place at Detroit Autorama!

Factory Five Racing was well represented at the 2013 Detroit Autorama as customers Mark H. and Paul B. displayed their Mk3 Roadsters along side the Factory Five-MuscleCar TV ’33 Hot Rod.

Paul reports that there were a lot of people in attendance, especially on Saturday. People were lining around the booth a few deep during the afternoon asking a lot of good questions and making positive comments. Spectators were also eager for even more information as the brochures in the booth were gone by Sunday morning.

Paul entered his car to be judged in the 1400 Handbuilt Sports Class and is happy to share that he received 2nd place! This was his first time attending a show like Autorama and is really excited to have won an award.

Congratulations Paul! Thanks for representing Factory Five along with Mark and doing us all proud.

Mark also had the chassis galvanised to…

Unfortunately our plow crew was late, and the day dawned with 3-4′ drifts in the back parking lot! We will be at work and at full strength tomorrow. Sorry for any difficulties this may cause. Three Generations Embark on a Type 65 Coupe Dream Build

Dave Ryan’s Type 65 Coupe build is moving right along—and it’s become something even bigger along the way. That curiosity for how things work turned into a lifetime of mechanical enthusiasm, passed down through generations and now culminating in Dave’s Type 65 Coupe build, which is a…
