Factory Five Mk3 Roadster #5979 Graduates

Stunning Customer Built Roadster Hits the Road

This is the second of two cars that I noticed on The Factory Five Forum (if you’re not a member, you can follow the link and join up and become a member for free), and customer ThreePointTwo (call tag on the forum) built this beautiful red Mk3 Roadster. The rest of the text is from his post on the forum and documents his build. Huge congratulations on this great car and inspiration for all of us.

Congratulations to Dave E. on graduating his ’33 Hot Rod build! After being a fan of Factory Five for a number of years, and dreaming of a Roadster project, Dave shifted gears once he laid eyes on a FFR ’33 Hot Rod at the build school at Mott Community College. Dave and his wife would soon order a Hot Rod kit, and take the opportunity to learn new skills throughout the build. Dave built his Hot Rod with a BluePrint Engines carbureted 400 c.i. engine package, and painted the body Tobacco Matalic. Read Dave’s build journey below. “Prior to this… Read More »

Charlie D. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe!

Customer Charlie D. started his Coupe build in Spring 2018, and by the end of the year, he had his first start and was soon go-carting around the neighborhood. Over the next year, he worked on fitting the body. He had to hit pause on the build for several years due to focus on some other projects.
