Factory Five Supports SEMA-Washington, DC Rally

Factory Five Racing, along with SEMA member companies like Autometer Gauges, Banks Engineering, Cooker Tires, and others, gathered this week in our nation’s capital to represent pending legislation to our senators and congressmen. The 2012 SEMA Rally had companies display their products in the lobby of the Rayburn Congressional Office Building.

Factory Five Racing President Dave Smith with Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown.

Legislation discussed included SEMA’s small volume manufacturer’s bill which would allow companies like Factory Five to manufacture limited numbers of completed vehicles with specific regulatory exemptions. Other bills discussed included off-road vehicle use on public lands and the dreaded E15 fuel additive bill.

SEMA member companies exhibited to representatives all day in the lobby of the Congressional Office Building.

One good accomplishment was enacting a Federal Collector Car Appreciation Day to recognize the valuable contribution of vintage and performance automobiles.

It was cool that SEMA chose Factory Five cars for the cover of their briefing booklet.

SEMA was well represented by TV personality Courtney Hansen, here with Factory Five President Dave Smith.

Special thanks to SEMA Congressional Affairs Director Dan Sadowski.

Factory Five was very proud to represent the industry and enthusiasts to congressmen and women as well as our state senators.  Click here to visit the SEMA Action Network website.
