Fun Friday at Factory Five Racing! Mike and Claire Snyder from Connecticut came to pick up their Mk4 Roadster with their kids Joey and Henry. Their other two kids, Jake and Ava couldn’t make it, but wished they were there! We gave them a couple extra t-shirts since they missed out on the fun. Both Mike and Claire are in the Coast Guard and in true Factory Five customer nature, Mike has wanted to buy a kit since he was 14! He plans on using a stroked 331 engine from a 1990 Mustang, and plans on painting his car British racing green with stripes.

Then, welding department manager John Dean brought his dog, Comet in as it has become a tradition to have a dog here on Friday!

Lastly, the 5.2 liter Voodoo-powered 35 Hot Rod Truck is back from the photo studio and just got upgraded Salt Flat wheels. New sticky rubber, and we are ready for summer.

As customer Mike Snyder put it, “it feels like we skipped over spring!” Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. We are closed on Monday to celebrate Patriot’s Day (a holiday ONLY in Massachusetts) and the Boston Marathon.

It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror. Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.
