From Father to Son: Hank & Mark D.’s Mk4 Build Begins

One of the most rewarding things about my company is having the privilege to build a car with a customer, who over the years becomes a friend, and now they are building a car with one of their kids again, 25 years later!

I sold Hank a Mk1 Roadster in the previous millennium! We both had young families back then, and now today, 26 years later, we are both grandparents. In the time between then and now, we’ve had too many car adventures to count, and the original Mk1 that he built, drove for years, and sold is now being replaced by a brand-new Mk4 that he is building with his son Mark.

They are building the car with a 347 stroker small block Ford, IRS, dual chrome roll bars, and other added options, and I can’t wait to hear Hank compare and contrast that old Mk1 to the quarter-century-improved Mk4!

Good luck Hank and Mark! What an honor to be able to build another Factory Five for you!
