Ray C. Wins Best in Show with his ’33 Hot Rod

Customer Ray C. from Poughkeepsie, NY attended the Healey Chevrolet Car Show sponsored by The Duchess Cruisers Car Club this past weekend with his Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod. It was his first show after recently graduating his Hot Rod February. To Ray’s surprise, his ’33 earned “Best in Show”!

Ray built his Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod with a 383 Chevy making about 450 HP with a Tremec TKX transmission. He is using the Altronics switch system to start the car and manage all of the switches. He also installed an airlift air ride system with height control sensors using QA1 shocks and RideTech bags.

The flames and pinstriping were done by Howie Nisgor, and all of the coatings on the car are Cerakote. Ray finished off the car with carbon fiber bike fenders and soft top.

“I purchased the kit in June 2022, received it in December 2022, and finished the build January 2025. Loved everything about it!”

Congratulations Ray on graduating your Factory Five Hot Rod build and earning your first Best in Show award! We look forward to seeing your ’33 at the 2025 Open House!
