Team PDG’s GTM Earns Podium Finish at Willow Springs

Congratulations to Richard and Yvonne Miglori and Team PDG on their big podium finish during their first endurance race of the 2016 season! The team ran the NASA Endurance Racing season opener with Carl Rydquist behind the wheel. Carl helped Team PDG take the pole in the #4 Factory Five GTM during Friday’s qualifying session, and then drove the GTM to an overall win in the 3-hour long endurance race in a field of 20 cars.

“That race was almost too exciting but the Prototype Development Group crew did a great job on all accounts” said driver Carl Rydquist. “Perfect pit stops at night is not easy and spotting for 3 hours in such inclement conditions is a really tough job, but the PDG team had my back the entire race. This was a true team win and I am so thankful to the team owners Richard and Yvonne Migliori for the opportunity.”

Paul H. and his Mk4 Earn 2nd Place at Spokane Speed!

Customer Paul H. from Spokane, WA took home 2nd Place in the Handbuilt Sports Car Class at this year’s Spokane Speed and Custom Car Show! Paul purchased his Mk4 Roadster (chassis #9847) in June 2020, and built the car with his son after attending the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College. They built the Mk4 with a 5.0 Coyote from a 2013 F150, Trememc 2650, IRS, 17″ Halibrand wheels, vinyl dash with glovebox, leather seats, and vintage gauges. It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror.
