The Baer Family’s Mk4 Build Featured at World of Wheels!
We love receiving build stories from our customers, and it’s always fun hearing stories like William Baer’s. After years of planning and a visit to our factory in Wareham, Massachusetts, Bill and his son Matt purchased their complete kit Mk4 Roadster in the summer of 2013. The Roadster was built in Bill’s garage, Matt and his sons Rob and Noah were over there often to help wrench on the car.
The build caught the neighbor’s attention as they reached the first start of the Ford 460 big block. The build was completed in Spring 2015, and the build of three generations of the Baer family was featured at the recent World of Wheels show in Chicago.
Along with the 460 big block (bored and stroked to 522 cu. in.), the Baer family Mk4 features a custom stainless steel dash, custom hydrographics by Mertz Performance, 3-link rear suspension, KONI coil over shocks, Wilwood 12″ disc brakes, and Eagle F1 GS tires.
