Double Triples at Factory Five

Last week ended on a high note with three customers picking up their kits, and three school tours, the largest of which, “The Winners Circle” representing five (5) upstate New York high schools building Factory Fives as part of a curriculum focusing on motorsports marketing and business.

Here are some photos from the busy day last week as we now kick-off another busy week here at Factory Five!

Earl Anderson drove down from Ontario, Canada to pick up his Speedstar kit. Earl is the first Canadian Speedstar and he met up with Dave Clement, who is building a Speedstar here in Massachusetts. The two met via the Factory Five forum. He plans on powder-coating his Speedstar chassis silver and painting the car in memory of his brother who passed away, and had a Metallic Red Mustang.

Earl also brought some tasty treats for the Factory Five staff!

Ken Torreggiani and son Ken Jr. Picked up their Type 65 Coupe. The father-son team are building an LS-powered Coupe and connected with our Dan Golub in Tech since Dan built his own twin-turbo coupe with an LS engine! They are documenting their build on their YouTube channel @lowboostfilms.

Benjamin Porter was the last of the customer pick ups on Friday and he took delivery of his 289 USRRC/FIA kit with his wife!

Winner’s Circle Project Leader Pius Kayiira arrived with students and instructors from 5 different high schools, all building Factory Five cars for their high school business development and motorsports marketing program.

Warwick Area Career and Technical Center instructor Jason Marley brought his students over to Factory Five in Massachusetts from neighboring Rhode Island. The students got a full tour from Dave and Travis in Tech Support.

The third of the school tours on Friday was the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. Teacher Derick Estacio brought his Grade 10 Auto Collision class to Factory Five and we focused the tour on manufacturing.

Friday was a busy day, and it highlights the way we run our business. While we work for our customers picking up their kits, we also dedicate some of our busy day to giving back and teaching the next generation of gearheads!
