Ryan B. Unveils his ’35 Hot Rod Truck ‘MACH 35e’!
The Factory Five ’35 Hot Rod Truck is designed to be built with a small block Ford or Chevy, 5.0L Coyote, LS, or Hemi engine, but every so often, we hear a story about someone going down a different path and building their own custom EV out of our kit. Ryan B. from East Coast Cobras in Hollis, NH did just that graduating his Tesla-powered ’35 Hot Rod Truck recently!

Ryan powered his Factory Five ’35 Hot Rod Truck with a Tesla Model 3 motor, and took about three and a half years to build the car working mostly on the weekends. The finished car weighs about 3,030 lbs. with a weight distribution of 64% in the rear, 36% in the front.

“There are 150 wires going through the center console, front to back,” said Ryan. “Everything was done in-house except large powder coated items like the frame and battery box. There is 170 custom made parts from Send Cut Send.”

Ryan painted the ’35 Truck body Ford Fighter Jet Gray with a PPG matte clear coat.

Over 700 AutoCAD Inventor parts were drawn or downloaded for the project as well.

Ryan had a big unveil for his ’35 Hot Rod Truck ‘MACH 35e’ over the summer with family and friends attending. He’s been hitting the car show circuit like meeting up with the Factory Five crew at the Mass Cruiser’s event in Foxboro, MA. Ryan was adjusting the suspension from his phone, and showing the truck’s seven computers that manage all of the various systems..
