Customers Tara and Marcus S. Place Second at Houston AutoRama

Customers Tara and Marcus S. were honored to showcase their Factory Five Type 65 Coupe at Nick’s Auto Repair and Classic Car Restoration booth at the Houston AutoRama. Their Coupe earned second place overall in the hand-built class.

In 2020, Tara and Marcus purchased the full Type 65 Coupe kit from Factory Five, and took delivery in June of 2021. They trusted Michael Everson in Norton, Massachusetts with its assembly and painting. The car has been maintained with care at Nick Schipon’s shop in Magnolia, Texas. The car now boasts 3,870 miles.

Under the hood is a Gen 3 Coyote making 437 horsepower and 364 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheel. It is equipped with a TKO600 manual transmission, dual-disc racing clutch setup, independent rear end, and Wildwood brakes. The car also features nontraditional stripes, a black interior, 18-inch Halibrand replica wheels with adjustable coil overs, a 14-inch leather steering wheel, DRL headlights, air conditioning, a backup camera, and a Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX stereo.

Paul H. and his Mk4 Earn 2nd Place at Spokane Speed!

Customer Paul H. from Spokane, WA took home 2nd Place in the Handbuilt Sports Car Class at this year’s Spokane Speed and Custom Car Show! Paul purchased his Mk4 Roadster (chassis #9847) in June 2020, and built the car with his son after attending the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College. They built the Mk4 with a 5.0 Coyote from a 2013 F150, Trememc 2650, IRS, 17″ Halibrand wheels, vinyl dash with glovebox, leather seats, and vintage gauges. Mk4 Customers Chris and Wendy D. Visit Factory Five

It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror.
