Kit Pick Ups & Dreams: From a Three-Generation Build to a 20-Year Dream

We had a great start to the week with a couple of exciting kit pick-ups from as far as Ontario and Michigan!

Monday morning, Kent, his son, Bodhi, and Kent’s dad are building a Factory Five Type 65 Coupe making it a true three-generation build. The team from Ravelle’s Speed Shop, including Kent’s brother Brent, made the trip from Ontario to pick up their kit. They’re planning a Gen 1 Coyote paired with an MT82 6-speed.

Tuesday morning, Robert N. and his wife from Michigan arrived to pick up what has been a 20+ year dream in the making. The moment Robert walked in, he recognized our tech, Dan G., from one of the first shows that sparked his interest in Factory Five. With his background in engineering and quality, we’re excited to see how his Mk4 Roadster takes shape!

Terry L.’s Hot Rod Earns Top Custom Car

At Factory Five, we try to help customers build their car their way, and with the ’33 Hot Rod, there’s lots of ways to do just that. Customer Terry L. and his full fendered Gen 1 Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod coupe did just that by making modifications in order to install a 540ci Dart all aluminum big block with AFR 335 ported heads, Jesel shaft rockers, Jesel belt drive, and titanium valves. Dave E. Graduates his ’33 Hot Rod Build!

Congratulations to Dave E. on graduating his ’33 Hot Rod build! After being a fan of Factory Five for a number of years, and dreaming of a Roadster project, Dave shifted gears once he laid eyes on a FFR ’33 Hot Rod at the build school at Mott Community College. Dave and his wife would soon order a Hot Rod kit, and take the opportunity to learn new skills throughout the build.
