An Award Winning Weekend

Three big wins this past weekend for FFR and Customers. Factory Five customer Eric Hansen won 1st place at the Del Mar Goodguys show autocross competition on Saturday. At the same time on the other side of the country, FFR customers Tim Dolan and John Takvorian earned Best in Show wins with their Facctory Five Roadsters at the Boston World of Wheels Show. We were also delighted to receive a “Top 10” award from the crew at Vintage Air for our efforts.

The Factory Five community is huge and yet I am constantly amazed at the sheer number of car show wins, race wins, news items, and interesting car guy details that happen every day here. Congratulations to everyone!

Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.

Factory Fives Take 1st & 2nd at Chicago World of Wheels!

Factory Five customers Jason H. and Pat S. were awarded 1st and 2nd Place at the World of Wheels Chicago event this year! Jason shared the news on the Cobra Owners of Illinois (COIL) Facebook group page saying, “Great day for the club!” Jason was also presented another award in addition to earning 1st Place with his Mk4 Roadster. “So something crazy happened last night.
