Anthony R. Graduates his Mk4 Roadster Build!
Anthony R. from Cedar Park, TX has been working on cars like Hondas since his early 20 doing basic maintenance, but never tried to do a full car build before. When he learned about Factory Five, he decided he was up for the challenge, and started his Mk4 Roadster build in November 2023.
Anthony build his Mk4 with a BluePrint Engines 302 with Holley Sniper fuel injection, T5 manual transmission, IRS, 15″ Halibrand wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires, vintage GPS gauges, diamond stitch seats, driver and passenger chrome roll bars, and power steering. He also made some custom additions like a rear lockable cubby, leather interior, welded the frame to support a passenger grab bar, aftermarket LED headlights with daytime running lights, custom battery mount, and added a custom aluminum horizontal bar between the roll bars with an integrated third brake light. The body is painted Acura Liquid Carbon Metallic with Fathomless Black stripes.
“It was a fun project,” wrote Anthony. “Overall, it is a fairly traditional build, but I added a few modern touches to it. I built it in standard two car garage on my days off. It took one year from delivery to licensed. Then drove it in gel coat for a few months before finding an excellent painter.”
Anthony’s wife enjoys their Mk4 Roadster as well, and shows it off to her friends. She likes to tease Anthony that he is working on the project in the garage with someone named Shelby…
