Brian L. Wins ‘Allen Grant Choice Award’

Customer Brian L. received a special invitation from the Shelby American Collection in Boulder, Colorado, for their charity event. Brian was given “the number 1 slot for the show” and learned that icons Allen Grant and Peter Brock would be in attendance. Allen’s iconic CSX2128 Cobra was there in the museum. Meeting Allen left Brian in awe. During their 40-minute conversation, Allen shared stories, asked questions about Brian’s build, and even planned on sending Brian some parts that made his own car unique! Brian told us, “I’m still riding the high from the event!” It was an unforgettable day involving legendary cars and car legends. We are stoked to hear that Brian and his Factory Five 289 Roadster were asked to be part of it. Congratulations Brian!

Paul H. and his Mk4 Earn 2nd Place at Spokane Speed!

Customer Paul H. from Spokane, WA took home 2nd Place in the Handbuilt Sports Car Class at this year’s Spokane Speed and Custom Car Show! Paul purchased his Mk4 Roadster (chassis #9847) in June 2020, and built the car with his son after attending the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College. They built the Mk4 with a 5.0 Coyote from a 2013 F150, Trememc 2650, IRS, 17″ Halibrand wheels, vinyl dash with glovebox, leather seats, and vintage gauges. It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror.
