Chris H. Scores Top 3 Finish at Sick Week!
“A little over ten years ago I watched the Factory Five Racing delivery truck pull into my driveway. At that time I never would have imagined the impact a single car would have on my life.” – Chris Hein.

Chris Hein attended the 2026 Sick Week event, and earned a Top 3 finish with his storied Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod drag car! Chris’ Hot Rod is powered by a 388 twin turbo LS with a T-56 6-speed manual transmission. His best pass at Sick Week was a 8.58 with an average of 8.82 resulting in a third place finish at the event.

Not only does Chris race his Hot Rod, he also drives it to races and car shows! Chris has racked up thousands of miles with his Hot Rod driving it to events such as Sick The Magazine’s Death Week in 2023 and the recent Sick Week presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.

Like many Factory Five customers, Chris is already at work on the next project as he’s been building a ’35 Hot Rod Truck that he also plans to drag race.
“Over the winter of 2024, I got to work with the help of Steve Groenink (fellow drag and drive competitor), laying the foundation for the new truck,” said Chris. “We built a 25.2 chassis to meet the NHRA requirements for the end goal of the truck: below 7-second runs.”
Congratulations on a successful run with the ’33 Hot Rod, Chris! We look forward to seeing what you do with the ’35 Hot Rod Truck.
