Chris M. Wins Best in Show with Mk3 Roadster!

Congratulations to Factory Five Mk3 owner Chris M. on earning Best in Show at the Bristol Motor Speedway Cars and Guitars event! It was the first time Chris had taken his Roadster to an event after purchasing the completed Mk3 earlier this year.

Chris had been dreaming of building a car with his Dad, an old street rodder, for over 40 years. They had been working on their build plans, but then Chris’ Dad passed away. Chris purchased the Mk3 Roadster and is going to be working on it to honor his Dad.

Chris bought from someone who completed a rebuild of this Mk3 Roadster back in 2019. It is powered by a 351 stroker with a Holley Sniper EFI, Tremec 5 speed transmission, optional soft top, and Chris is already planning out some changes of his own like updating the interior with new carpet, adding another gauge, and swapping out the hood pins. He is also putting together some engine mods, but nothing too radical.

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror. Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives
