Factory Five Customer Doug M. Wins at Salt Lake City Autorama!

Factory Five customer Doug M. sent us a quick recap of the Salt Lake City Autorama event which was held the other weekend, February 22nd thru 24th.

The Factory Five booth featured Doug’s Mk3 Roadster and the Factory Five-MuscleCar TV ’33 Hot Rod. Another customer was planned to be in the booth, but some bad weather prevented them from making the trip from Arizona. Doug reported that they made some small adjustments to the booth and it turned out great.

Doug’s Mk3 features a fuel injected 5.0L engine with a T-5 transmission and 3.73 IRS rear end. The car has pin drive wheels and Doug also added a bunch of other extras during the build.

To cap things off, Doug’s Roadster was awarded “Outstanding in Class” and was also featured in the Fox 13 (Salt Lake City area channel) event gallery! This is the third year Doug has attended this Autorama show and he had previously been awarded “Best in Class” and “Outstanding in Class”. Doug’s Roadster was also picked as the “Picture of the Month” on FFCars.com for August 2011.
