Factory Five Customer Raymond T. Receives Award at Dallas Autorama

Factory Five customer Raymond T. from Fort Worth, TX sent us a message today to let us know that he had a great time displaying his Mk4 Roadster at the Dallas Autorama last weekend. Sitting next to the Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod which was featured on MuscleCar TV and painted by JoAnn Bortles from Crazy Horse Painting, Raymond said the booth was set-up perfectly and located in the perfect location.

Even better, Raymond also reports that his Mk4 was awarded 2nd place in its class! “The competition was extreme with many immaculate cars that I was up against,” wrote Raymond, “so to receive 2nd place was a huge success that I am very proud of.”

Raymond also mentioned how he lost count of the people that stopped by and spoke with him about the Factory Five cars and how many said they wanted to build one.

Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror. Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.
