Factory Five Customers Win Big at Two March Car Show Events

It’s getting to be that time of the year when stories of weekend car shows starting coming in on a weekly basis.  Last weekend, several Factory Five customers sent reports from various events where their Factory Five builds received top honors and some serious attention from the crowds.

We received an e-mail Monday afternoon from our good friend Christian at High Octane Image with several photos of Factory Five customers Tony D.’s Roadster and Robert L.’s Type 65 Coupe from last weekend’s World of Wheels show in Boston, MA. Tony’s Roadster was awarded 1st place in the “Hand-Built Sport” class!

Factory Five customer Tom W. brought his recently completed 818S to the NOPI Nationals in Florida last weekend as well.  Tom reported that the weather was awesome and he answered a lot of questions about the 818 throughout the two day event.  There was a ton of interest and the crowd loved the car. Tom was asked by NOPI if they could use his 818 in a professional photo shoot with some of the NOPI girls. And to top things off, Tom took first place in the “Street Kit Car” division!

Also in attendance at the show was customer James K.’s stunning GTM which was in a sponsors booth, so it was not eligible for any awards.  However, it still garnered a ton of looks during the show.  It was a big hit in the Town Fair Tire booth and James was very honored to have his car be featured by them during the show. With the amount of traffic James’ GTM brought to the booth, the crew at Town Fair Tire has asked him to display his new 818 build in their booth at next year’s show!

Thanks Christian for the pics from last weekend’s World of Wheels – Boston show.  Congratulations to both Tony and Tom on their car show win!

This MK5 Roadster is more than a project—it’s the first expression of a vision to create ultra-premium, one-off roadsters that blend classic design with modern performance and reliability. Factory Five Racing provided the perfect canvas. The MK5 isn’t just a kit—it’s a foundation that allows builders to bring something truly… Read More »
