Two Film Productions at Factory Five This Week

It was an extremely busy week here at Factory Five as we were the subject of two video/film projects being done along with partner companies. Our bank is filming a commercial highlighting us as an example of a successful American manufacturing company (with a great bank supporting us!). Our partners at SolidWorks came down to do a different sort of project asking for our help in designing the next “Let’s Go Design” project. This was a fun project, especially when the director asked me to do as many donuts as possible around host Jeremy Luchini. A video of this will be posted in a few weeks after the first episode of “Let’s Go Design: Project 3” airs.

Thanks to everybody who helped and to our suppliers who continue to support us and involve us in their fun projects. Check out the videos below from this week.

Mark S. Graduates His Mk4 & Scores Magazine Cover!

Congratulations to customer Mark S. on graduating his Mk4 Roadster build! Mark came for a tour of Factory Five in March 2020 to meet Dave Smith and the team. After returning home to the United Kingdom, Mark ordered his Mk4, and it arrived at his garage in February 2021.  Marks good friend, neighbor, and fellow car enthusiast, Stuart H, helpedwith the build which featured a Gen 3 5.0L Coyote, Tremec TKO transmission, 8.8″ solid axle with 3-link rear suspension, 18″ Halibrand wheels, and of course, it had to be in right hand drive. I made the call to scrub FFR operations for the day. The drive in wasn’t bad, and most roads are clear.
