FedEx/St Jude’s Charity Car at Mecum!

If you recall, last summer the team from Factory Five and pilots from FedEx built a beautiful Mk4 Roadster at the FedEx St Jude’s PGA Golf Classic.  The car has raised over $50,000 in donations for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and now it is heading to the Mecum Auction in Houston, TX to help raise even more money for the hospital.

The build team worked very well together finishing the build ahead of schedule.  That gave them some time to double check everything to make sure it was to spec. You can catch a clip of the build from the tournament by clicking here.

Here’s the details on the Mecum Auction to benefit St Jude Children’s Medical Research Hospital.

Location:  Houston, TX
Dates:  April 14 thru 17

The car is scheduled to be auctioned on Saturday, April 16th around 2:00 PM. Watch this on NBC Sports Network.  The FedEx/St Jude Children’s Hospital Factory Five Mk4 Roadster is lot #S117.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers, and treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since we opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. St. Jude freely shares the breakthroughs we make, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
