FFR Customers Bob & Jonathan C.’s Mk4 Named “Super Smooth”

You may remember Bob and Jonathan C. as we shared a story of their build where they Jonathan took their recently completed Mk4 Roadster to his school’s prom this past spring (Click here to read the story). They sent us an e-mail recently to let us know that they have now won their first car show award!

Bob and Jonathan brought their Mk4 Roadster to the Doylestown at Dusk car show in Pennsylvania the other weekend where nearly 580 cars attended. There were awards for the top 40 cars and another 12 specialty awards. Bob and Jonathan earned the “Super Smooth” award for a super clean build with simple lines and details. The show also were impressed and gave them recognition for their father-son project.

Paul H. and his Mk4 Earn 2nd Place at Spokane Speed!

Customer Paul H. from Spokane, WA took home 2nd Place in the Handbuilt Sports Car Class at this year’s Spokane Speed and Custom Car Show! Paul purchased his Mk4 Roadster (chassis #9847) in June 2020, and built the car with his son after attending the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College. They built the Mk4 with a 5.0 Coyote from a 2013 F150, Trememc 2650, IRS, 17″ Halibrand wheels, vinyl dash with glovebox, leather seats, and vintage gauges. Mk4 Customers Chris and Wendy D. Visit Factory Five

It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror.
