John C. and His Son: A Father-Son Build

Customer John C. and his son, also named John, built their Factory Five Roadster together and celebrated dad’s birthday shortly after completing the car!

John’s son shared:
“I think we walked away learning more about teamwork, precision, and being ok with putting something down and coming back to it. Thank you to every friend and family member who helped us along the way.”

From John’s perspective, “This build was about perseverance. The journey started with my 14-year-old son saying, ‘Dad, let’s build a car together?’ As a lifelong car guy, I had waited my entire adult life to hear those words.”

We researched kits and found Factory Five had the best package and the most support. Life got in the way, businesses, college, and then COVID, but the car became our outlet. In 2022 we fired up the engine, in 2023 we were go-karting and going to shows in primer, by mid-2024 we were at paint and body, and in June 2025 we had our Roadster Reveal party.”

Over 40 friends and family joined the celebration, making it a true family affair.

Stories like John’s remind us why so many customers build more than one Factory Five. These cars aren’t just machines, they’re memory makers.

At Factory Five, we stand by Built Not Bought® and often, that means Built Together.
