Mark and Dom Pick Up their Stage 2 Hot Rod
It’s hard not to be jealous of Mark and his son, Dom D. when you think about growing up and having the chance to build a car with your dad -which is exactly what Dom is doing with his dad. They picked up their Stage 2 Hot Rod to finish the project, proudly sporting their Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod t-shirts.
Dom is headed to Rutgers in the fall, where he plans to study Mechanical Engineering. The car they are building is powered by a push rod 302 Ford, with a 4-link solid axle out back. The biggest discussion now is the paint color—they’re considering Ford Rapid Red or Mazda’s new red, the same color we used on our MotorTrend Coupe. The only debate left? Deciding between Ford Rapid Red or Mazda’s new red.
