New Factory Five ‘33 Hot Rod Built by SKJ Customs Gallery Now Online

The crew from SKJ Customs built this stunning 1,400 HP ’33 Hot Rod which was featured at the 2010 and 2011 SEMA Shows. The car also features a custom red interior and custom paint job.

Steve Temple, the editor of Kit Car Builder, took a bunch of photos of the SKJ Hot Rod out in the Utah desert and we’ve made a photo gallery with some of our favorite shots. You can check it out here.

We’re working on getting some video of the car running so everyone can hear how awesome the engine sounds. We’ll get that posted as soon as we get it in, so keep checking back.

Rob M. Reaches First Start Milestone!

There’s many milestones when building a Factory Five including getting the kit in your garage, making it a roller, engine install, and of course, graduating the build. Charles M. is Show Favorite with ’33 Hot Rod

Charles M. from Lakeland, FL purchased a built Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod in February 2026. This Hot Rod was built by a company in California that builds cars for movies and TV shows. It was sold at auction with the proceeds being donated to a charity. The auction winner then sold the car to Charles with 594 miles on it. Charles brought the Hot Rod to the 21st Annual Bay Life Car Show the other week which saw 675 cars attend.
