FFR PDG GTM Trans Am Team Places at Portland

Congratulations to the Factory Five PDG GTM Trans Am team for their impressive performance at at Portland International Raceway! The team secured 2nd and 3rd place in a competitive field of 45 cars, aired on NBC Sports last weekend.

Not only did they dominate on the track, but the team also showcased the GTM at the entrance to the track during the Indy Car race on Sunday. The car attracted tons of attention, with countless photos taken, and about 100 kids got a chance to sit in the cockpit, bringing smiles to all! Behind the wheel was the talented Beau Borders, on the podium in his red/white/black drivers suit. Next, the team is gearing up for the 25 Hours of Thunderhill on November 11th after the GTM ran flawlessly at Portland. Preparation starts this weekend!

The team’s success comes after a setback from blowing up the engine on the dyno earlier this year. While engine issues and parts shortages tested their budget limits, but the team has continued making numerous improvements to the GTM and thriving. The team is determined to receive another podium finish the upcoming 25-hour race!

A big thank you to primary sponsors, Hankook Tires, and MyRaceShop.com.

Stay tuned as the Factory Five PDG GTM Trans Am team looks ahead to the 25 Hours of Thunderhill this November!
