Scott W. Picks Up His 289 Roadster

Scott W. from Illinois has been dreaming of his Factory Five build for 20 years. He chose a 289 with a 302 engine over a Mk4 Roadster with a 427. Scott jokes that his aim is “to go fast around corners instead of through them.”

He saved up for his build throughout his career as an electrician. His uncle, a former carnival owner and ride manufacturer, will be painting the car, so Scott made it clear, “—no glitter!” He plans on painting his car a classic Guardsman blue with white stripes.

With his friend Chuck, a seasoned mechanic and racer, by his side, Scott’s build is in great hands.

We can’t wait to see this dream build come to life!
