Terry L.’s Hot Rod Earns Top Custom Car

At Factory Five, we try to help customers build their car their way, and with the ’33 Hot Rod, there’s lots of ways to do just that. Customer Terry L. and his full fendered Gen 1 Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod coupe did just that by making modifications in order to install a 540ci Dart all aluminum big block with AFR 335 ported heads, Jesel shaft rockers, Jesel belt drive, and titanium valves.

He also installed a 4 speed transmission with overdrive, a 9” Moser solid axle rear end with 3-link rear suspension, 304 stainless steel 4 into 1 step headers, and 3-1/2” collectors plus 3-1/3” exhaust that were run through the frame and out the back of the car.

Terry’s hard work was recently rewarded as he earned Top Custom Car at the 2025 Scriba Car, Truck, & Motorcycle Show.
