M3 Roadster Built the Right Way!

The other day I got the nicest surprise! I received in the mail a printed, bound book from the fisher family that detailed and chronicled their Mk3 Factory Five build.

I met Steve and his wife Tiffany in Huntington Beach last year at the cruise-in. Then this past summer (2011) their entire family made the trek to Wareham and toured the factory.

Steve put together an amazing book of their family adventure beginning on the day they received their Mk3 Roadster on May 30, 2010 to the completed car, meeting John Force, travelling to racetracks, and also here to the factory all along the way.

What I love most about this story is that this family is very close and they built this car together and enjoy it as a family.

Family is what keeps our country great and seeing these bright young kids, with no fear and with excitement about building something with their own hands… That is just great! No video games, no Facebook… Steve teaches his kids by DOING and is a great example of a father. Tiffany is supportive wife and a great mom! These guys are a modern-day cool version of the Brady Bunch!

What a pleasure and an honor it was to have met Steve and his family, and how lucky we are to be able to share in their project!

Paul H. and his Mk4 Earn 2nd Place at Spokane Speed!

Customer Paul H. from Spokane, WA took home 2nd Place in the Handbuilt Sports Car Class at this year’s Spokane Speed and Custom Car Show! Paul purchased his Mk4 Roadster (chassis #9847) in June 2020, and built the car with his son after attending the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College. They built the Mk4 with a 5.0 Coyote from a 2013 F150, Trememc 2650, IRS, 17″ Halibrand wheels, vinyl dash with glovebox, leather seats, and vintage gauges. Mk4 Customers Chris and Wendy D. Visit Factory Five

It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror.
