Steve G. Graduates His Mk4 Roadster: Wildfire

Steve G. from Denver, Iowa is a retired heavy duty truck technician, and in August 2021, he placed his order to build his dream car – a Mk4 Roadster. “You hear of many people saying that building a Cobra kit car would be their dream,” wrote Steve, “and it for sure was a top dream on mine.”

Steve received his kit in March 2022, and built his Roadster with a BluePrint 427, Tremec 5 speed transmission, IRS with 3.55 gears, Wilwood front and rear brakes, Factory Five diamond stitched door panels and seats, heater/defroster, Russ Thompson turn signal switch, and 18″ Halibrand Wheels. The paint is 2012 Ford Tricoat White Pearl with silver stripes.

Steve named his Mk4 Roadster “Wildfire,” and the build is dedicated to two family members who have passed away – his late wife, Carol, and his daughter, Brenda Marie.

“The past 26 months of this build have been the best of my 70 years here on this earth,” wrote Steve. “I cannot thank Factory Five enough. The company and all of you are amazing.  I know you of all people understand that the pictures alone don’t do it justice as they can’t even begin to show what “Widlfire” is truly made of.  Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the healing. Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you for the entire experience. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!”

Thank you Steve for sharing your story and being part of the Factory Five community! Congratulations on graduating your beautiful Mk4 Roadster build, and we look forward to hearing more stories of how you and your family enjoy the car.
