“In just a few weeks, it’ll be three years since I got my chassis and first parts from Factory Five. Balancing high school and now studying mechanical engineering at Tufts, I’ve been working on this car every chance I get.

After a week and a half of troubleshooting engine wiring, I found a tiny issue—a faulty pin in the distributor connector. I fixed it, and the car finally started! This is easily one of the most exciting moments of my life. I can’t wait to get it on the road!”

Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.

Factory Fives Take 1st & 2nd at Chicago World of Wheels!

Factory Five customers Jason H. and Pat S. were awarded 1st and 2nd Place at the World of Wheels Chicago event this year!
